IPRally and RPX Corporation announce strategic collaboration, cross-linking AI-powered patent search with RPX Empower

IPRally today announces a strategic collaboration with RPX Corporation, the global patent risk management service provider, that further expands the capabilities of the RPX Empower platform and provides seamless access to business critical complementary information for IPRally users.

HELSINKI & LOS ANGELES, June 09, 2026 – IPRally today announces a strategic collaboration with RPX Corporation, the global patent risk management service provider, that further expands the capabilities of the RPX Empower platform and provides seamless access to business critical complementary information for IPRally users.

Following successful internal adoption that increased RPX's prior art effectiveness by 40%, IPRally's market leading patent search and intelligence technology will be cross-linked with RPX Empower, enabling seamless transitions between litigation intelligence and state-of-the-art patent searching.

This collaboration is the continuation of a long-standing relationship between RPX Corporation and IPRally, and illustrates IPRally’s mission to provide immediate access to the best answers possible.

Proven results drive collaboration

RPX's internal patent analysis team has been using IPRally to support the company's patent quality initiatives since 2021. Their results were the foundations for this collaboration:

"Both RPX and IPRally have very high standards and provide business-critical solutions in adjacent fields. When we had an opportunity to explore a collaboration that would enhance the experience for both of our customers, it was an easy decision. Many of our users rely on IPRally for prior art and validity studies, and the litigation intelligence from RPX plugs an important gap in these processes," said Andreas Cehlinder, Chief Commercial Officer at IPRally.

"IPRally has enabled our patent analysis team to work much more efficiently," said Naseem Nazemi, Director, Patent Quality & Counsel at RPX. "Our average time for finding prior art per patent has decreased by 1.5 hours. Since utilizing IPRally, the percentage of RPX art being used in IPR challenges has increased from 30% to 42%, indicating the high quality of searches conducted by our patent analysts."

Rigorous vetting process

RPX only collaborates with partners whose technology has been proven useful for RPX’s team of patent experts and analysts. The same is true for IPRally, who only considers partnering with organizations that enhance their mission and, through complementary technology or content, reduce the time to business critical answers for their users.

The cross-linked solution focuses on two key workflows:

  • Invalidity Search and Litigation Intelligence: Users can instantly launch targeted prior art searches from RPX  Empower to identify key prior art references for asserted patents, and users that find relevant references in their patent search can immediately open links to litigation and company information from their results.
  • State-of-the-Art Analysis: Subscribers can leverage IPRally's semantic understanding and proprietary Graph AI and Ask AI solutions for comprehensive technology landscape assessments and gather critical information, such as SEP status or company information, from Empower.

Seamless Workflows

For users of IPRally and RPX Empower, the cross-linking eliminates context-switching between platforms, combining RPX's litigation intelligence with IPRally's native AI search capabilities in a unified workflow.

"By cross-linking IPRally with Empower, we're extending the same productivity gains our internal team has experienced to our entire subscriber base," said Steve Chiang, Chief SaaS Officer at RPX. "Users can access vital litigation intelligence and seamlessly transition to advanced prior art searching—all without switching between disconnected tools."

With this partnership both parties continue to build an ecosystem where IP professionals can access best-in-class capabilities within a unified environment.

"We're excited to collaborate with RPX and make our technology more seamlessly available to their client network," said Andreas Cehlinder. "RPX's rigorous vetting process aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering reliable, explainable AI for patent searching and analysis.”

IPRally's graph neural network is trained on millions of patent examiner citations. Instead of matching keywords, it finds results based on technical similarity. Generative AI then lets users ask questions and filter those results in plain language, narrowing to what matters for faster decisions. The platform also provides users with next generation patent analysis tools, AI search agents as well as a suite of new intelligence and classification tools to deliver answers to innovation teams.
